You are standing in the midst of neatly trimmed grass on the west side of a small white house.

The house is apparently surrounded by hedges on all sides, although there is a gap here that seems to be intended as an entrance.

You note with curiosity that the house actually has a thatched roof. Not a common building technique in this day and age, certainly! In fact, the more you look at the house, the more it seems to be a quite well-executed implementation of a fairly ancient design.

A large cherry tree to the southeast is in full bloom, filling the sky with pink flowers, and the air with a pleasant scent.

To the west, you can see a small green lawn, surrounded by bushes and ornamental maple trees. There seems to be a hole in the bushes.

To the east, you can see a pathway that runs between the house and the hedge that lines the house's south side.
